Degrowth Conference open event in Folkets Park, Malmö

We want to see what you are doing! Dear activists who try to make society a bit more sustainable and human! Scandinavia, Sweden and Malmö will host the year’s international degrowth event 21-25 August. We the Swedish member organizations in ECOLISE ( the European platform for all grassroots initiatives for sustainability and climate want to make it possible for the general public and local media in the Öresund region to learn what’s happening locally and globally. While most people are not able to participate in the conference, we want to showcase outside the conference a taste of transition, permaculture and ecovillages and other grassroots initiatives from Sweden and Denmark that show how we can live more ethically and ecologically. That’s why we arrange “Ljusglimten”, a bottom-up exhibition in People’s Park (Folkets park) from 15.00-18.00 on 21 August – just before the conference starts. Do you have something to show, invite, make, talk about, exchange or sell that reflects sustainability? Please contact us to book a free stall in “Ljusglimten”, an inspiring afternoon together with like-minded friends in the Malmö’s People’s Park. Welcome!
